It’s been eating away at me. Just… just watching what we’ve become.
We cheer for the underdog — until the underdog’s Palestinian.
We defend democracy — until democracy votes for the wrong people.
We say “never again” while funding it again and again and again.
What happened to us? When did we become so numb?
I’ve scrolled past so many dead children that my thumb should be covered in blood.
We cancel people for a bad tweet from 2012, but we applaud the people dropping white phosphorus on hospitals.
Our leaders lie — blatantly — in front of our faces. And the press? They nod. They print it.
The BBC used to challenge power. Now it wears its flag like a badge.
I’m not antisemitic. I’m not pro-Hamas. I’m just not a fucking sociopath.
If that makes me the problem — then good.
History will look back on this, and it’ll ask:
Where were you?
What did you say?
Did you speak out?
Or did you scroll?
