It started with an old, rusty bike chained up outside for 5 years.
I brought it back to life, slapped a motor on, and turned it into a 40mph fire hazard. That’s when I realised — this needs to be done properly.
Warrior Cycles is about converting bikes the right way: legally, safely, and road-ready.
The Problem With Cheap Kits
The first controller that came with the kit seized the back wheel mid-ride — just locked up. I was 4 miles from home and had to drag it back.
I upgraded to a 40A controller. Big speed upgrade… but the bag nearly caught fire.
🔥 The wires melted. It was smoking when I stopped.
40mph on V-brakes and a budget frame? Too fast. Too dangerous. And absolutely wouldn’t pass a DVSA inspection.
Enter the Panther
A new build. Stronger frame. 4-inch fat wheels. Hydraulic brakes. VESC controller. Fixed top speed — 28mph.
Built from scratch to meet DVSA requirements. Every label, mirror, light, reflector, and bracket added by hand.
This isn’t just a bike anymore. It’s the Panther — the first Warrior Cycles prototype.
Road Ready
Labels. Lights. Reflectors. Mirrors. Side stand. Number plate holder. All fitted by hand.
The Panther’s ready — on paper, at least.
I’ve built this to pass the DVSA MSVA test. And to be honest, they've been brilliant.
